According to @adamshefter and turnonthejets.com the Jets number one GM candidate is now Tom Gamble of the San Francisco 49ers. Seems like the weekend meetings with Packers GM John Dorsey went down in a way that Gamble is now the front runner for the job.

Reports from NYJ writer Brian Basset say the contract is to be 3-4 years long and is nearly “cemented”.

Gamble has built 9 playoff teams 5 with Indianapolis and 4 with Philadelphia. He boasts an 18 year career in coaching and front office.
